Introduction: Lack of place in theater field like amphitheater, Installation Facilities, shortcoming in educational system and having disharmony in use of this facilities especially in universities are the problems that having bad effect in university theater. University Theater as a part of theater comes over with difficulties and crisis. Having no relationship between University Theater and Experimental Theater and Professional Groups and disordering university group activities, cause problems in producing scientific Theater. Although university theater with the use of scientific and experimental aspects of theater and with respect to different educational and researching dimensions can exhibit an effective role in national theater.
Present University Theater is in its routine period. In recent years University Theater is one of an effective process in theater body and actually it refers to experiences that students receive from researches through theater and we see this progress in theater in our country. But now there is no relationship like this because there are no effective acts in performances that students produce. And University Theater embay through festivals. There is wrong idea about alumnus. In one hand, university, in the other hand Center for the Performing Arts. Unfortunately in recent years we have no extra facilities in performance and every year we have new groups who want to work with these facilities. University Theater House of Iran wants to make a place for these groups! In one side Festivals can not solve all the problems, because local festivals are just for artistic challenge. It causes Contrasting between Iranian and foreign artists and evaluate participants encounter with people. And contains excellent performances. Festival is tabloid of all production in a year. But questions arise, and that is where and how these performances produce, where they show and finally how they select for festivals? The only element cause stability of University Theater is public show. Sacred Defense Theater is support by Sacred Defense Theater Association. Children Theater is supported by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults and Professional Theater is supported by Center for the Performing Arts and Theater Forum. But university Theater? How? Now University Theater is the most unguarded process that need much more support by Cultural Affairs of Science, Research and Technology Ministry and this forum with financial and spiritual helps can be a good cultural motion in Theater History, the responsibility that Trustees shrink it. At the end, we must say that, UTHI with the ideas of giving public shows to students and university Professors and all the High Educational Centers wants to give stability. Knowing elites and introduce them to professions, expand Theater with the base of quality, making moral group balance among students, investment groups and successful students, making Mobility through students, attract other organs, and having interaction with all theatrical and non- theatrical centers for the support of students shows and finally making clear view for University Theater are the goals of this forum. GOALS: Cultural Affairs of Science, Research and Technology Ministry and UTHI for having scientific Theater and supporting university productions have three goals: a. Production: This part consists of: 1. Predispose of public show for students in amphitheaters. 2. Supporting of thesis related to dramatic art Coincidence with diplomacy of UTHI. 3. Public show for Professors. 4. Building permanent amphitheater for students, professors and alumnus. 5. Inviting foreign groups. 6. Producing cooperative performance between students and professors in Iran and abroad. 7. Holding Seasonal repertoires. 8. Holding Thematic repertoires: cultural, social, political, religious, Iran's literature (classic and modern), knowing Iranian manners. 9. Holding Professional repertoires: parody, tragedy, comedy, monodrama, classic, modern. 10. Holding performance repertoires selected from different festivals. b. Education: 1. Forming professional workshops in different attitudes (directing, literature drama, street theater, Puppet Theater). 2. Holding seminars and educational meeting. 3. Inviting professors from abroad holding workshops. 4. Teaching theater in figurative forms. 5. Giving educational booklets to students. 6. Producing educational multimedia. 7. Holding cultural and educational tour for students and alumnus c. Research: 1. Publishing books and professional essays. 2. Publishing profession seasonal book and leaflet. 3. Holding research and pathologic seminars in the cycle of University Theater. 4. Holding photography and poster exhibition. 5. Forming professional library and film theater archive. |
